These 8 seater vehicles; funded by a collaboration between the UCT Lung Institute and the Tuberculosis Clinical Trial Consortium (TBTC) will be used to conduct clinical trials looking at novel TB drug combinations. The aim of these research studies is to reduce treatment duration for tuberculosis to less than 6 months and to explore new effective TB drug combinations.

“These vehicles will greatly assist our aim to develop new TB treatments by growing our transport infrastructure and adding to our clients’ research experience,” says Prof Dawson.
